Wildfire Defense Mesh's Communtiy Program Delivers Results
Our community program facilitates wildfire mitigation strategies at the community level, and was designed to complement and support existing programs and community initiatives. We focus on three core pillars:

On-site sessions with wildfire experts
Online video tutorials for DIY and contractor training
Educating the local workforce for long-term knowledge and economic development
2. Community Engagement
Complements existing initiatives creating Ember-Resistant Zones, Chipper Days, and Defensible Space
Adds screening to vents, decks, and enclosures within the Home Ignition Zone (HIZ)
Empowers local homeowners, businesses and volunteers to take action
3. Cost-Effective, High-Impact Solution
Community purchasing with per-home schematics (created by WDM’s system)
Discounted mesh pricing: as low as $100–$400 per home

Case Study: North Florissant County, CO
A Colorado community recently used our Community Mesh Program to organize their own mesh project, and it was a great success. In the course of one month’s planning, and one weekend, this group managed to help protect nearly 70% of the local homes! See the breakdown below:

Scalable Across All California Firewise Communities
Our Wildfire Defense Mesh is a cost effective and scalable solution that communities are asking if they can utilize the program and mesh under the CALFIRE Wildfire Prevention Grants to increase community resilience, engagement and decrease risk. As an affordable, retrofit product that can be installed by the same workforce conducting defensible space, it helps ensure that all residents have access to low-cost and high impact solution for some of their most vulnerable areas in the HIZ, being vents and decks.
